Digital Fulfilment update for The Dungeon

We will be releasing the Digital Content in July to everyone who has completed their Backerkit survey.

As a reminder the Digital Dungeon is included in the Digital Dungeon, The Dungeon and the Double Dungeon pledge levels. The Digital Dungeon consists of - 

• All the designs from The Dungeon in digital format
• A PDF Adventure Module to play in The Dungeon
• A PDF Random Dungeon Generator
• Digital versions of the decal tokens

We will be sending this out to you through DriveThruRPG, you will receive a code for the Digital Dungeon title as a link which will add it to your DriveThruRPG library, where can view and download at your leisure. 

The Digital Dungeon will be one title on DriveThruRPG.  We will release the Digital map tiles first while we finish play testing and perfecting the Adventure Module (it has had to take a back seat while we get the maps ready to release and go to print).  

When we release the Adventure Module and Dungeon Generator we will add these to the Digital Dungeon Title. This will automatically add these additional files to the title in your DriveThruRPG library, likewise if we update a file you will automatically have access to that updated file too. 

We have found this to be very convenient as you don't have to download everything at once and it acts as a handy storage system!

We will send another update as we start to release the digital content, if there are any questions please ask us in the comments or via Kickstarter Messages.

Just to remind you if you have not already we do need you to complete your Backerkit Survey, this is where we are collecting your verified shipping information and charging shipping, and it is where you can select add-on products and change your pledge level if you would like to. 

Backerkit is a pledge manager system which is separate to Kickstarter, we use it because it gives us the back end tools we need to manage the fulfillment of this project.

If you can't complete your survey just yet, don't panic, we will be locking down completed surveys on June 30th and then every 2 weeks thereafter until shipping starts. We will distribute the digital content to newly locked down surveys at the same time. 

Once a survey is locked, your card is charged and you can no longer make any more changes, except to change your shipping address.

Thank you to the 76% of you who have already filled in your survey!

That's an awesome start to the Backerkit phase, you guys are on it!!

You will need to complete your Backerkit survey in order to receive your Dungeon Books of Battle Mats.

Backerkit is where we collect your address details, charge shipping and gives you the chance to change your pledge and add-on any other items you would like.

If you cannot see your survey, which would have been emailed to you, firstly check your spam/junk/clutter/promotions folders. If it is still missing you can go to this page https://dungeon-battle-mats.backerkit.com/ and pop in your email address to recover your survey.

If you are really stuck please reach out and we can get your survey to you :-)

What happens next?

Once we have enough completed surveys we can confirm print run numbers! This is the important reason we need the majority of pledges to be filled in within the first fortnight as we need to be able to predict the final numbers so we can get production moving :-) There are some other important milestones as well

• We will be "locking" completed surveys and charging cards (PayPal users have already paid) in 14 days! This will happen in waves so if you can't complete your survey just yet don't panic, but it means we can start to send out the digital content in July to those locked survey backers!
• We will continue to lock and charge newly completed surveys every 2 weeks after this
• You will still be able to update your address when we have locked your survey! We won't lock addresses until the Books are en route to the fulfillment centres - This should be August.

Backerkit is open!

We have now fully launched our Pledge Manager (Backerkit) and your individual survey links are being emailed out.

We do need you to complete your survey. 

You will receive a link to your survey via email to the email address you used in Kickstarter. It is linked to Kickstarter so it will know what pledge level you selected and what funds you pledged.

If you cannot see your survey please check your spam/junk/clutter/promotions folders as it is may be in one of those  (it'll be from [email protected] or similar). 

It's also possible to go direct to BackerKit (https://www.backerkit.com/are_you_a_backer) and search for our campaign and enter your email address to be sent a new link for your survey.

Please refer to update#37 on Tuesday for a step by step run through of how to complete your survey. If there is anything you're not sure about please ask us either in the comments or via a message on Kickstarter.

We need you to go in and fill out your survey even if you are backing digital and do not need to input shipping!! Even if you have everything you want and don't want to change pledge level we still need you to complete your survey!

If you are new to Kickstarter & Backerkit let me quickly run through why we are using a pledge manager. We are using Backerkit to best manage this critical phase of the campaign as it offers suitable tools not available on the Kickstarter platform. Specifically it allows us to collect verified shipping addresses and offer backers more flexibility, including the opportunity to change pledge level and increases the number of payment options to suit you.

Backerkit is launching This Week!

We have been having a lot of questions about our add-ons and pledge levels in the pledge manager (Backerkit). Hopefully this update will answer all your questions but of course if you need to ask us anything please reach out :-)

Your Backerkit Survey is a critical part of the Kickstarter process, and it's really important you fill it out! Its where we collect your shipping details and charge shipping, as well as giving you the change to add-on extras and change your pledge level.

It is worth mentioning that we are using a flat shipping rate for the Kickstarter so add-ons and/or changes of pledge level will not increase the shipping (unless you change from a digital to a physical pledge of course). 

Our add on Products - Our Book Range

Our Books of Battle Mats - All our books are stand alone products, but using our unique format, modular designs and a standard 5 foot to 1 inch scale on all designs in all books, they compliment each other as well.

Key points to know

• Our Existing books are published as individual stand alone books designed to cover as many encounter scenarios and to be as reusable as possible.
• Our 2 sizes - Big (12"x8") and Giant (12"x17") are designed for Travelling and Tabletop use.
• The designs in the Giant Book are, for the most part, expanded versions of the designs in the Big Book with extra features to take advantage of the extra space.
• Our designs are complimentary, some designs feature the standard entry & exit points to transition between different books & areas.

The Big Book of Battle Mats - 12"x8" approx - £20

The Big Book of Battle Mats is a collection of 58 fantasy themed battle mat pages in a lay flat spiral bound volume, A4 in size per page. Designed to be carried with your RPG books and to provide easy access to a variety of environments to be used for encounters. Add-Ons & Pledge Levels in Backerkit explained #2 - Token update!

I can finally reveal news of our much anticipated token sheets!

After much discussion with our printers and looking at lots of stickers we have now agreed we are happy to produce our tokens in the form of Vinyl decals.

This is a rough mock up of the sort of decals you can expect to find in the pack. We will be focusing on architectural features as you can see - walls, doors, stairs, bridges and similar so you can really customise your dungeon and how you move around it. From creating a new room or corridor to simply having a handy table available for a quick mid adventure sit down we have you covered!

We will share a future update on a detailed look at token artwork.

These durable and reusable vinyl decals can be stuck and unstuck repeatedly on any of our laminated books! We love them as they won't slide around and allow you to customise your dungeon with a host of extra architectural features! Adventure planning has never been so much fun!!

And there is more good news! We had promised 4 token sheets with every copy of The Dungeon pledge level (which we achieved through stretch goals). We have had a good sit down with the figures and we are delighted to confirm we will be able to produce these tokens as a pack of 5 sheets of Vinyl Decals, so you get an extra sheet on us!

So you will get a pack of 5 vinyl decals included with every dungeon pledge and Two packs of 5 vinyl decals included with every Double Dungeon pledge level.

We just had too many good ideas to fit onto four sheets, and frankly even though these decals are really sturdy and durable we want to include multiples of features such as doors which we know will see the most use!

The packs of 5 vinyl decal sheets will also be available to add onto your pledge in the Backerkit.
