Design Update! The latest news on the maps from The Dungeon

As I'm sure you know we have been hard at work perfecting our maps while this Kickstarter has been running.
We like to bring our projects to Kickstarter about 80% complete so we can listen to and reflect your feedback in our products.
I am delighted to say, while the designs are not finished as yet, we have moved our designs on quite substantially since we last shared them and I wanted to let you have a look at how they are coming on.
We have added more room and corridor maps as per the feedback. We are keeping our designs reasonably generic so that they can be used and reused in as many scenarios as possible. We are also going to review the order of pages so we sit similar designs closely. As you can see we have also "paired" the designs across the books.
As you can see we have added more of the chequerboard floor rooms into The Dungeon, and we have also added more of the Dingy Cells style rooms, replacing the lighter 4 pages which we felt would sit better in a future book. We added rooms to the Flooded Dungeon and Ruined Dungeon pages, and before we print our next sample book with the final designs we will reorder the pages to group the themes together.

And just to finish I can't resist adding a quick picture of the Little Book of BattleMats - Dungeon Edition! We are loving using the little book as an entrance, so now any encounter map can lead into The Dungeon!!
£110,000 achieved! We have unlocked a second token sheet to accompany The Dungeon

We have hit our £110,000 stretch goal and unlocked a second token sheet to accompany The Dungeon!
Once again these token sheets are included with each dungeon set, and will be available digitally as part of the Digital Dungeon.
For those of you who haven't been following the discussions on the comments section at the moment we plan to publish these tokens as cut out sheets of laminated card. Following popular demand we are looking at the potential of vinyl decals as well, however we won't be able to commit to any changes before the Kickstarter ends as we have to go through samples and sample testing to ensure the product is of a high quality. We will keep you all in the loop and up to date with how we get on.
Thus far with our stretch goals we have been flying!
We have together upgraded the Dungeon to a set of two 40 page each, slip cased, hard covered tomes of Dungeon maps, with an accompanying PDF adventure to play through, a PDF dungeon generator AND we have added the Little Book of Battle Mats - Dungeon Edition to the Double Dungeon pledge (and the digital designs from the little book to the Digital Dungeon which is included with the Dungeon and Double Dungeon Pledge levels). AND we have created a set of token sheets - currently 2 - to use with the Dungeon.
And onto our next Stretch Goal. We are delighted to announce our next stretch goals will be -
£135,000 - We add a third token sheet to the Dungeon!
When we achieve £135,000 we will add a third token sheet to each set of The Dungeon.
As per the above we can commit to a laminated card token sheet to cut out. Potentially, following product testing, we can look to upgrade this to a vinyl decal.

The Digital Dungeon and Digital Add-Ons - Your questions answered!

Again we have been getting a lot of questions about our digital offering, and digital add-ons for this Kickstarter, so let me have an in depth look which I hope clarifies things for you :-)
Firstly The Digital Dungeon -
The Digital Dungeon has its own dedicated pledge level, and is included with ‘The Dungeon’ and ‘The Double Dungeon’ pledges.
The Digital Dungeon will be delivered as a DriveThruRPG title which will comprise of a set of image files with the maps from the books (the Dungeon Set and the Little Book of battle Mats - Dungeon Edition), it will also include ‘The Peculiar Will of Thurandius Drake’ an adventure module and ‘Dungeon Run!’ a set of random generator tables for creating random dungeons from the tiles.
For anyone not familiar with DriveThruRPG, it's an online marketplace for digital RPG resources and you can have a library of titles there, which means once you have content from us, you can download at your leisure and will automatically receive any updates we make to any products you own.
The tiles will come in 2 formats (print/VTT) as .jpg files. The print files will be a full 300 DPI image, with the VTT optimised version having 72 DPI and minimised file size to allow for combining tiles and staying below the common 10 MB size limit for use as VTT maps. These images will also include grid-less versions where appropriate.
Digital Add-On Items
As well as the new content that makes up the Digital Dungeon, we are also making our existing digital map titles available in bundles as add-on items. These Virtual Tabletop (VTT) map bundles are all taken from our existing catalogue of designs and just offer a good value and convenient way to get a lot of digital assets (there are around 200 designs across 300 titles so bundles is the way to go).
We have put our content in to three bundles, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Terrain.
We've also added a deal to get all three bundles for £20. Which isn't too shabby for 200 or so designs.
How to do Add-Ons
And finally, once again some quick housekeeping - How to do add-ons! There are 2 ways. Firstly when you select your pledge and your pledge amount in Kickstarter you can add extra funds to cover any add-ons you are looking at. This amount is carried across into Backerkit as a credit and it's there you will be able to select products to add on. The second way is you select your pledge level in KS but don't add extra funds at this stage, you can then add extra funds directly in the Backerkit phase. Backerkit is also when we will be collecting your shipping info and charging shipping costs for physical goods. We are gearing up now for our last few days which traditionally are the busiest for a Kickstarter, and we are really excited by how things are looking!

Blimey that went quickly! Again thank you for your amazing support and welcome all our new backers!
We have cruised past the £95,000 and so the slipcase will feature a bespoke cover so it will look just awesome! Jim has been shut in the design studio with food and access to fresh water for a couple of days working on this and we will share the preliminary sketches when we have them!
And as promised now we turn our attention to tokens for our next stretch goal -
£110,000 - We add a second token sheet!
As promised in my last update we will now look at producing a second token sheet to use with The Dungeon. This second sheet will remain architectural and focus on adding flexibility into the Dungeon so your adventure can have more options at your fingertips!
We have had so many amazing ideas for tokens that our short list for one sheet was frankly long enough to produce a book so we would be delighted to bring more of your ideas to life!
In terms of format, we know we can deliver laminated sheets that you cut the tokens out of for use but we're also discussing other options with the printers.
One idea which has come up a lot on our comments page is for vinyl decals. We are working with our printers having a look at costs and samples, until I have seen and tested a sample I can't say if it is something we will take forwards. If I see a sample which does not lose its stick when reused, curl at the edges or rip when you peel it then we will be happy to upgrade. More news as I have it but to set your expectations we will not be able to confirm this before the Kickstarter ends. Apologies but I am a stickler when it comes to product quality and testing.
For now I will stick to these tokens beige a laminated cut out card format which we know produces a high quality, durable and reusable token for our books.

Exploring The Double Dungeon!

As we move through our campaign and welcome new backers on board now seems like a good time to take a closer look at our Double Dungeon Pledge and answer some of the questions we have been getting.
Starting at the beginning, The Double Dungeon is £50 and you get
2 sets of The Dungeon (so 4 hard cover books as 2 slipcased sets)
Included is the Little Book of Battle Mats - Dungeon Edition
Digital Dungeon (including the maps from the Little Book)
All unlocked stretch goals (physical and digital)
PDF Adventure to play in the Dungeon and PDF Dungeon generator
And am delighted to say that the set postage rate will not increase, I am covering the difference, so that's a massive saving for you as well. We have really tried to give you value for money, as well as a pretty massive dungeon set up.
The Double Dungeon increases your potential adventure area (unsurprisingly it doubles it) to 48" by 24", or if you are not square you get a lot more options to create a winding dungeon complex. And of course the Little Book for some dastardly corridor action!
I have been having fun with some possible combinations which I would like to share below! I could try and explain how awesome it is all day but pictures speak louder than words so here we go -
